Ted Brocklebank

Ted Brocklebank (* September 24 1942 in St Andrews ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Conservative Party.

Brocklebank attended Madras College in St Andrews. Subsequently, he was active in the media sector, as initially as a freelance journalist, then to 1970 for Scottish Television. Brocklebank joined Grampian Television and held various senior positions. Between 1995 and 2003 he finally was managing director of Greyfriars Production.

Political career

In the Scottish Parliament elections in 1999, 2003 and 2007 Brocklebank entered as a candidate at the Conservative Party for the constituency of North East Fife. However, he was defeated in all three elections the candidate of the Liberal Democrats, Iain Smith. On the basis of the election results, however, Brocklebank succeeded in 2003 and 2007 on the Regional Evaluation of Mid Scotland and Fife the entry into parliament.
