North Tayside (Scottish Parliament constituency)

North Tayside was a constituency of the Scottish Parliament. It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies the election Region Mid Scotland and Fife, which was re-cut by the revision of constituencies in 2011 and further comprising nine constituencies. Here, the North Tayside constituency was abolished. Terms of area, it was the largest constituency of choice region and comprised mainly sparsely populated, rural areas of the Council Areas Angus and Perth and Kinross with the towns of Brechin, Forfar and Pitlochry. The territories of the former constituency are largely absorbed into the new constituency of North Perthshire. It was sent a deputy.
