Scoundrel Days

Scoundrel Days is the second studio album by the Norwegian pop-rock band a-ha, which was released on October 6, 1986.

History

On the album can be heard on drums, among other studio drummer Michael Sturgis in The Swing of Things. Often, nature is used as a romantic metaphor, such as We're Looking for the Whales or Cry Wolf. There were, inter alia, the synthesizer Yamaha DX7 and Roland JUNO 60/106 used.

2010 appeared a remastered deluxe version of the album, which contains in addition to the regular tracks 29 demo versions, remixes and unreleased songs.

Criticism

The album was very successful and has sold over 6 million times. It reached number four in the German charts and number two in the UK, on the Billboard 200 but only 74th place For Allmusic, the album received 3.5 out of 5 stars. Ned Raggett wrote, although the album was not as strong as the debut, had a-ha, still marketed as " Beautiful boys - band", some new ideas. Just the two opening pieces were among the strongest that there is.
