Seals & Crofts are a soft rock duo, which became known in the early 1970s, particularly through their hit Summer Breeze.

History

Jim Seals ( born October 17, 1941) and Darrell " Dash " Crofts ( born August 14, 1940) made ​​in the mid- 1950s in Texas music in various formations before they reached in 1958 with the band The Champs, just came up with a big tequila had hit.

1966, the Champs dissolved. Dash Crofts returned to Texas, Jimmy Seals formed the band The Dawnbreakers, but was unsuccessful.

The early 1970s, the two came back together as a duo and in the fall of 1972 they had their first Hitnotierung with Summer Breeze. There followed a number of hits to 1978 in the style of Crosby, Stills and Nash and America, played with zweistimmigem vocals and most sparsely instrumented. Crofts lived in Mexico, Australia and Nashville, where he later made ​​country music and thus had some hit singles. Jim Seals went to Costa Rica and has lived there since 1980, on a coffee farm.

In 2003, both came together for a comeback and released their first album in more than 20 years. An extensive tour of the United States joined in 2004 and 2005.
