Seatrain (band)

Seatrain was an American rock band that was formed in 1969 from the remnants of the Blues Project and existed until 1974. The music of Seatrain was a mixture of rock, bluegrass, folk and blues.

In the cast Andy Kulberg ( flute, bass), Roy Blumenfeld ( drums), Richard Greene ( violin), James T. "Jim" Roberts ( vocals), John Gregory ( guitar) and Don Kretmar (saxophone, bass) took the Blues Project in 1968 in Marin County, his last album on Planned Obsolescence. Immediately thereafter, the band changed its name to Seatrain.

Seatrain went through some line-up changes. Later members were initially Peter Rowan (vocals, guitar), Lloyd Baskin (vocals, keyboards) and Larry Atamanuk (drums ), after Peter Walsh ( Guitar), Julio Coronado (drums) and Bill Elliot (keyboards).

Seatrain broke up in 1974 due to lack of commercial success.
