Sebastian Rudy (born 28 February 1990 in Villingen -Schwenningen ) is a German football player.
Career
Clubs
In 2003, Rudy from the SV rooms in the youth ranks of VfB Stuttgart. By the end of 2007, he completed his first games for the second team of VfB in the Regionalliga Süd. 2008 Rudy was the Fritz -Walter - Medal awarded silver in the U-18 age group. On 30 July 2008 he signed a license dated to June 2012 player contract at VfB Stuttgart. From the season 2008/09 he was a member of the squad for the first team of VfB, but mostly played in the second team.
His professional debut was Rudy on August 2, 2008 ( 2nd Round ) in the 1-3 defeat in the away match against 1 FC Union Berlin in the newly created 3rd league. Only eight days later, he completed the first round of the DFB Cup in a 5-0 win at FC Hansa Lüneburg his first competitive game for the first team of VfB Stuttgart, with the September 13, 2008, he (4th Round ) goalless draw in Carl- Benz-Stadion against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim then made his Bundesliga debut.
After 15 Bundesliga inserts in two years for the Swabians Rudy changed on 23 August 2010 TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and ran on August 28, when he substitute in the 1-0 away win against FC St. Pauli in the 89th minute for Peniel Mlapa was the first time for his new club. On February 5, 2011 Sebastian Rudy scored his first goal in the Bundesliga.
National
Sebastian Rudy played for several German junior national teams. He finished 2007 with Germany at the U- 17 World Cup third place. He then played for the U-18 and U-19 national team. On 4 September 2009 Rudy made his debut for the U- 21 team that won 5-0 in European Championship qualifying game against the selection of San Marino.
Because after Bastian Schweinsteiger and Träsch also injured Sami Khedira and Simon Rolfes, Sebastian Rudy was re-nominated on June 5, 2011 by Germany coach Joachim Loew for the European Championship qualifier the senior team against Azerbaijan, on June 7, 2011, but did not used.
Others
Rudy has four siblings. His older brother by one year Florian plays at third division SpVgg Unterhaching and is currently on loan at SV Heimstetten.
