Fabian Johnson
Fabian Johnson ( 2008)
Fabian Johnson ( born December 11, 1987 in Munich) is a American- German footballer who is currently under contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and competes internationally for the United States.
Career
Association
A native of Giesing was used over his career at all outfield positions. From 1991 to 1996 he played in the youth teams of Sportfreunde Munich. In 1996, Johnson for TSV 1860 Munich, where he went through all the junior teams up to U -23. On 11 December 2004, he was employed for the first time in the U- 23 in the Regionalliga Süd. By 2007, he ran to a total of 43 times for the second team of the lions.
His first professional football had Johnson on 19 March 2006 in the 2nd Bundesliga when he came off the bench in the game of the sixties at SC Paderborn 07 at the last minute. At the end of the season 2005/ 06 he joined three other short inserts. For 2006/ 07 Johnson was appointed coach Walter Schachner in the professional squad. By 2009, he arrived there 90 times used, whereby he scored four goals. In addition, it was used in six DFB Cup encounters in which he once came to scoring.
In the summer of 2009, Johnson moved to Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg. As a defensive player, he had a hard time at the beginning to assert themselves against the wolves stood professionals like Marcel Schäfer or Sascha Riether. On September 12, 2009 (5th Round ), he debuted at the 2:3 defeat in the home match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Bundesliga with Substitutes for Christian Gentner in the 76th minute. Overall, however, he only came to ten inserts season. The following year he came even only six league games, three of which were substitutions in the final minutes.
On 3 June 2011, the VfL Wolfsburg announced that Johnson will move to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
After his contract at Hoffenheim leakage Johnson switches to the 2014/15 season at Borussia Moenchengladbach. He signed on 24 February 2014, a contract until 30 June 2018.
National
Johnson played on the U-17 national team in the junior teams of the DFB. In the U -17 he played 13 times, in the U-18 national team three times. In the U-19 national team, he came eleven times used in the U-20 national team, he played twice.
In 2007 he stood for the first time in the U- 21 squad, yet he was there six times used. 2009 Johnson was employed with the German team under national coach Horst Hrubesch U-21 European Championship in Sweden, he was in the semifinals and the finals of the tournament.
25 August 2011, Fabian Johnson was appointed by U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann for two friendlies against Costa Rica and Belgium for the first time in the national team of the United States. After he was allowed to play by the later arrived approval of his dressing change by FIFA for the U.S., Johnson was appointed on 3 November 2011 for the A- internationals against France and Slovenia again in the U.S. squad. On 11 November 2011, he was in the friendly against France at the Stade de France made his international debut for the United States.
