Jannik Vestergaard

Jannik Vestergaard ( born August 3, 1992 Copenhagen, Denmark ) is a Danish- German footballer who is at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim under contract.

Family

Jannik Vestergaards mother is a cellist and comes from Krefeld, his Danish father works in the Ministry of Justice in Copenhagen. The German relatives, grandfather and uncle Jan Hannes Schröers Schröers were active as a football player. Hannes Schröers played for Bayer 05 Uerdingen and Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Vestergaard began playing football at the age of four Vestia Copenhagen. From there, he later went to BK Frem, then continue to Kjøbenhavns Bold Club. Because of his growth he was here retrained from midfielders and forwards to central defender. According to his own statements he had with Kjøbenhavns Bold club in the first B- Youth - year rapid growth spurt that made a negative effect; so the body did not fit to the changed circumstances. Vestergaard was therefore at best reserve player. In the second B- youth year, he then went to the suburban club Brøndby IF. In Brøndby he was achievers and rose to even in the U- national teams of Denmark. In the derby against his former club KB he fell classifiers TSG 1899 Hoffenheim - these were supposed to spot a player by KB - on. A few weeks later Vestergaard then played with Brøndby in left home at an indoor tournament with, the team bowed out against Hoffenheim A youth from. The classifier Hoffenheim then decided to undertake Vestergaard.

For the 2010/11 season Vestergaard joined the TSG and signed a professional contract over four years. Initially Vestergaard only played in the second team. On April 16, 2011, he came to his pro debut on Matchday 30 in the Bundesliga against Eintracht Frankfurt when he came on in the 90th minute for Ryan Babel. His first Bundesliga goal he scored with a header on 11 February 2012 in a 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen.

National

Vestergaard played for the U-18 and U-19 national team of Denmark. He made 26 April 2010 his first game for the Danish under-18 national team. In the 1-2 defeat against Italy Vestergaard came on in the 70th minute for Mads Hvilsom. He made his last international match on April 30, 2010, when he came into use in the 1-2 defeat against Belgium. In this game, he scored his first and only goal for the U- 18th Vestergaard came up with four inserts for the U- 18th Only a few months later, on 2 September 2010, Vestergaard debut for Denmark U-19 national team. In the 1-1 draw against Belgium Vestergaard was in the starting line-up and played the whole game through. Vestergaard came in qualifying for the U-19 Football Championship in 2011 for use. The qualification, however, was missed. In March 2011, he was honored as the best Danish U-19 national player of the 2010 season. Since then, he belongs to the Danish U-20 squad. On 28 March 2011 Vestergaard came for the first time for the U -20 team to use as he stood in the 1-1 draw against Portugal in the starting line-up and played through the entire game.
