Sebring is a village in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The place had at the time of the 2000 census total of 4,912 inhabitants.

History

The place was founded by the same name Sebring Sebring brothers, who originally came from East Liverpool. The Sebring family, a family of entrepreneurs from the pottery industry, wanted to build the place as a so-called city of pottery and build it by naming it as a kind of memorial for her work and efforts.

The first factories of the Sebring family took in 1898 on their work. Overall, the family employed within a very short time about 3,300 employees. The place got after some time also the title of pottery capital of the world.

Sebring counts as one of the original towns of the automobile. As early as 1912 began to build the so-called Six Sebring in Sebring a factory. A total of 25 vehicles were built in Sebring. The automotive history of the place in 2001 resulted to the fact that the company called one of his Chrysler models Chrysler Sebring.

Sebring is served by a branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.

Regular events

The annual festival of the fire department ( Sebring Fire Department Festival ), a large fair with rides and competitions, is the most famous festival of the place and is beyond the limits of Sebring known.
