The Lake District ( District du Lac French ) is one of the seven districts of the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. Official languages are German and French.

The area of the Lake District surrounds the two Bernese enclaves Münchenwiler and Clavaleyres and has Wallenbuch ( part of the community Gurmels ) an exclave in the canton of Bern.
An area of 2.56 km ² in the state forest Galm is not associated with community and under the direct sovereignty of the canton.
