See You in the Morning (film)

Second Luck ( See You in the Morning ) is an American film drama directed by Alan J. Pakula from the year 1989.

Action

Larry Livingstone, a psychiatrist, is abandoned by his wife, the model Jo Livingstone. She takes with the children. Larry is depressed by the situation.

A hand of the husband of Beth Goodwin, who is a pianist is paralyzed. The man commits suicide, the widow come to terms with the suicide of her husband. Beth must own two children, Cathy and Petey, educate. She turns to Livingstone to find support in therapy.

The psychiatrist and the widow come closer. However, the coming of the children of the couple marriages ended in doubt whether they should approve of the relationship.

Livingstone and Goodwin married. Beth went for business trips to Russia; in this time, Larry takes care of their children and trying to understand them.

Roger Ebert praised in the Chicago Sun - Times, 21 April 1989, the performances of the actors. Jeff Bridges WOULD " left " in his role, Alice Krige was a " good choice " for the role of his second wife. The film is one of those films that are not " spare " the audience would. The screenplay was so " uncompromising ", " fair" and " intelligent" that viewers would have difficulty to cope with the emotional events.
