David Dukes

David Dukes ( born June 6, 1945 in San Francisco, California to David Coleman Dukes; † 9 October 2000 in Lakewood, Washington ) was an American actor, who starred in prospective 100 film and television productions between 1970 and 2000. Including in films such as I love you - I love you - je t'aime, The First Deadly Sin, One morning in May, The Men 's Club, date with an angel, Gods and Monsters or Stephen King's damnation.

Life and career

David Coleman Dukes was born in 1945 in San Francisco in the state of California. Dukes, who had decided early on to become an actor, studied drama in San Francisco at the American Conservatory Theater. Finally His acting career began in 1970 in Hollywood in a supporting role in the Western series The Men from Shiloh Ranch.

In his 30 -year acting career, he played numerous character roles, including in George Roy Hill's romantic comedy I Love You - I love you - je t'aime (1979 ), in Brian G. Hutton's Thriller The First Deadly Sin (1980 ), in Glenn Jordan's comedy Mrs. Hines & daughter ( 1981), Stanley R. David Dukes died on 9 October 2000 at the age of 55 years on location in Lakewood a heart attack. In the American television miniseries Stephen King's condemnation he had his last appearance. It was dedicated to him posthumously in 2002.

After his death, a David Coleman Dukes Memorial Scholarship at the University of Southern California School of Theatre was founded. It is awarded annually for exemplary work in the theater in his name. "

David Dukes was married twice. The marriage with Carolyn L McKenzie lasted from 1965 to 1975, the marriage with Carol Muske - Dukes held until his death in October 2000. His grave is at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale.
