Segundo Castillo

Segundo Alejandro Castillo Nazareno ( born May 15, 1982 in San Lorenzo, Esmeraldas ) is an Ecuadorian footballer.

Club football

Castillo began his Erstligakarriere at CD Espoli, the association of national police school in Ecuador. Here he gave his Erstligadebüt in 2000 and was in its second year with 19 years regular player in midfield. After he had scored 9 goals even in 2002, the top club signed him from CD El Nacional Quito for the 2003 season. 2005 he won there the Clausura Championship (2005, there were in Ecuador each one championship per season half). End of August 2006, he joined Red Star Belgrade in Serbia. For the season 2008/ 09 he was awarded for one year in the Premier League for Everton FC. After he had been there initially been chosen, he found, after a change of the game system less and less consideration in starting XI and squad.

On 31 August 2009 Castillo returned to the highest English league to there - to be completed at newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers another season on loan - at the side of his former teammates Belgrade Nenad Milijaš. In the summer of 2010 he went back to his home country to Deportivo Quito.

For the season 2011/12 he moved to Mexico to Pachuca. In January 2013, went for him on to Puebla FC.

National

Segundo Castillo, who has also played in the U20 selection of his country, the appeal deserved by the convincing performance of the season in the Ecuadorian national soccer team. On 17 August 2005 he played for the first time and was also in the preparatory games for the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany as one of the best players of the team. Therefore, he was nominated not only for the World Cup squad of Ecuador, but was there even in the starting eleven. He also took part in the tournament for the Copa América 2007.
