Sekhonyana Nehemia Maseribane

Chief Sekhonyana Nehemiah Maseribane ( born May 4, 1918 in Mount Moorosi, Quthing District; † 3 November 1986 ) was a politician in Lesotho.

The son of a morena was on May 6, 1965 to July 7, 1965 Prime Minister of the British colony of Basutoland, the 1966 Lesotho became independent. Like his successor Leabua Jonathan he belonged to the Basutoland National Party ( BNP). In whose government Maseribane was then deputy prime minister long.

When the BNP lost in the election in January 1970 against the Basotho Congress Party ( BCP), advised Maseribane and the then Finance Minister Chief Peete Peete Prime Minister Jonathan to declare a state of emergency and the choice to cancel, then what this did.
