Séminaire Nicolas Bourbaki

The Séminaire Nicolas Bourbaki ( Bourbaki seminar) is a series of seminar lectures, which are held in Paris since 1948, and is internationally recognized as a reflection of the state of research in mathematics. It was initiated by mathematicians of the Bourbaki radius as Henri Cartan. Today they are held at the Institute Henri Poincaré. There are usually three times a year ( January, June, November) four to five lectures held by internationally recognized mathematicians mostly on the work of others. The lectures are open to the public. They will be published, formerly self-published, then with Benjamin, by Springer -Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Mathematics, now in the series astérisque of the French Mathematical Society.
