Serebro

Serebro ( German: " Silver " ) is a company incorporated in 2006 Russian girl group who represented her native country at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki.

Members

Yelena Vladimirovna Temnikova (Russian: Елена Владимировна Темникова; born April 18, 1985 in Kurgan ) is the lead singer of the band and became known in 2002 through the talent show Star Academy of the Russian television Channel One. Her parents discovered her musical talent early on and encouraged it. At the age of five she was given violin lessons.

Olga Serjabkina (Russian Ольга Серябкина; born April 12, 1985 in Moscow) enjoyed from the age of seven ballet classes and completed her vocal studies at an art school. Later she participated in international talent competitions and studied business management.

Marina Lisorkina (Russian Марина Лизоркина; born July 9, 1983 in Moscow) sang from the age of twelve in a choir and performed with 16 years in the University of Contemporary Art, where she received her vocal training. She is a former member of the band Formula.

Anastasia Karpova (Russian Анастасия Карпова; born November 2, 1984 in Balakowo ) devoted himself already in early childhood music and ballet before she took singing lessons and decided to pursue a career as a singer.

Band History

Serebro consisting of Elena Temnikowa, Olga and Marina Serjabkina Lisorkina, was compiled in 2006 by the famous Russian pop music producer Maxim Fadeev. Fadeev include, inter alia singers Linda and Julia Savicheva to his protégés. The latter artist representing Russia in 2004 at the 49th Euro Vision Song Contest in Istanbul.

The pop band was chosen internally on 10 March 2007 by an expert jury of the television station Channel One to represent Russia at the 52nd Euro Vision Song Contest in Helsinki, Finland. By composed by Maxim Fadeev English Title Song # 1 Serebro was automatically qualified for the final on May 12, having occupied second place in the previous year Dima Bilan. Although the girl group had completed any public appearance and with the ESC finals denied her stage debut, she was counted by international betting agencies to the extended circle of favorites and was in third place behind the winner Marija Šerifović from Serbia and the drag queen Serduchka (Ukraine).

On 18 June 2009 it was announced that Marina Lisorkina leaves the band for financial and personal reasons. It was replaced by Anastasia Karpova.

Following the resignation of Anastasia Karpova end September 2013 Daria " Dasha " Shashina beginning of October 2013 was included as a new singer in the group. Karpova justified its departure with the planned launch of a solo career.
