Sergei Arekayev

Sergei Stanislavovich Arekajew (Russian: Сергей Станиславович Арекаев; born September 22, 1978 in Elektrostal, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who stands since 2010 at Molot - Prikamye Perm Wysschaja Hockey League contract.

Career

Sergei Arekajew began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the HK Spartak Moscow, for its professional team in the league Wysschaja, the second Russian league, and after the ascension 2001, he was active from 1999 to 2003, first in the Super League. After the team was relegated again in 2003 to the second division, was the winger over the next five years with Ak Bars Kazan, the HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Severstal Cherepovets, Moskovskaya Oblast and Amur Khabarovsk Chimik in the Super League under contract.

For the 2008/09 season Arekajew was obliged by HK MVD Balaschicha from the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League. After 15 games, he joined the club and signed with MWD's league rivals Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. There he also began the following season, joined by only two matchdays but his former club Amur Khabarovsk at, for which he played in the following one and a half years. Halfway through the season 2010/11 he moved to Molot Perm - Prikamye from the Wysschaja Hockey League.
