Sergei Piskunov

Sergei Piskunov (Russian: Сергей Викторович Пискунов; born March 11, 1981 in Magnitogorsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Kuban Krasnodar in the Wysschaja Hockey League since August 2012.

Career

Sergei Piskunov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk, for the second team, he was active in the third-class Perwaja League from 1998 to 2000. For the first team Metallurgs played the winger from 2000 to 2005 in the Super League. With his team, he was in his rookie year in the 2000/ 01 season at first Champion of Russia. Three years later, he failed with Metallurg only in the playoff final on HK Avangard Omsk. During his time at Metallurg he also completed six games for the league rivals HK CSKA Moscow in the 2002/03 season.

From 2005 to 2010 Piskunov stood at Cherepovets Severstal under contract, first in the Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established. For the season 2010/11 the right shooter was first committed by Amur Khabarovsk. However, after only eight games, he moved within the KHL for HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, where he finished the season. For the 2011/12 season he joined the HK Donbass Donetsk from the Wysschaja Hockey League.
