HC Kuban
The HK Kuban Krasnodar (Russian ХК Кубань Краснодар ) is a Russian ice hockey club from Krasnodar. The team plays in the second-rate Wysschaja Hockey League.
History
As of 2007 there were the first attempts to establish a professional hockey club in Krasnodar. In the fall of 2011, preparations were made to it and entered the club in spring 2012 in the Register. The name is similar to the football club FC Kuban Krasnodar. For the 2012/13 season Kuban Krasnodar was added as an expansion team in the Wysschaja Hockey League, the second Russian league. First head coach in club history was Andrei Pjatanow.
HK Kuban Krasnodar acts as a farm team of the KHL Vityaz Chekhov participant.
