Alexander Buturlin (ice hockey)

Alexander Mikhailovich Buturlin (Russian Александр Михайлович Бутурлин; born September 3, 1981 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Kuban Krasnodar in the Wysschaja Hockey League since November 2012.

Career

Alexander Buturlin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior area of ​​the HK CSKA Moscow, for its first team, he was active in the Russian Super League from 1997 to 1999. He was then in the second round selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 as a total of 39 players from the Montreal Canadiens, for whom he never played, however. After the attackers had played from 1999 to 2001 in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League for the Sarnia Sting, he returned to his native Russia, where he received a contract with Salavat Yulaev Ufa.

In the summer of 2002 Buturlin signed with HK Lada Togliatti, for in the Super League he was in the next five years on the ice. With Lada 2005 he was runner-up in 2006 and won with his team at the European level the IIHF Continental Cup. The season 2007/ 08 he joined his former club from Ufa, but left that after only five games and moved to the league rivals HK MVD Balaschicha. For the following season with HK Lada Togliatti took him another former club under contract. For the Lada winger scored in the 2008/09 season, the first year of the Kontinental Hockey League in 44 games five goals and prepared another six before. For the 2009/10 season Buturlin returned to the state capital to HK Spartak Moscow.

From October 2010 stood at Buturlin HC Traktor Chelyabinsk in the KHL contract and completed for this 105 KHL games in which he collected 24 points scorer. In early September 2012, he joined Amur Khabarovsk, where he received a one-year contract term. In November of the same year it was terminated prematurely and Buturlin has been running for the HK Kuban Krasnodar in the Wysschaja hockey league.

Internationally

For Russia Buturlin took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 1999, as well as the U20 Junior World Championship 2001 part.
