Sergey Andreyev

Sergei Vasilievich Andreyev (Ukrainian Сергій Васильович Андрєєв, Russian Сергей Васильевич Андреев; born May 16, 1956 in Luhansk, Ukrainian SSR ) is a retired Soviet football player and current football coach.

Sergei Andreyev started his career as a youth player at Zorya Luhansk. In 1978, he joined the SKA Rostov. In 1981, he won the Soviet Cup with this team, in the final Spartak Moscow was defeated 1-0 and Andreev scored the winning goal. In 1980 and 1984 he was top scorer in the Soviet Wysschaja league. 1986 he joined the team of Rostselmash, today's FK Rostov.

For the Soviet national team striker played between 1979 and 1983 a total of 26 times and scored eight goals. In football tournament of the 1980 Olympic Games he won the bronze medal with the Soviet team with six goals and was top scorer of the tournament. In 1982, Andreev took part in the World Championships in Spain.

In 1989, Andreev moved to Sweden first to Östers IF, as of 1991, he played for the team of Mjallby AIF. In 1993 he returned to Russia to Rostselmash.

After Andreyev had ended his active career in 1995, he worked until 2000 at Rostelmasch as a coach. Later he trained, among others, Salyut Belgorod and in 2008 the Kazakh club FK Atyrau. Since 2009 he has worked as a coach in a soccer boarding school in Rostov-on- Don.
