Sergey Lagutin

Sergey Lagutin ( Uzbek Sergey Lagutin, Russian Сергей Лагутин Sergei Lagutin; born January 14, 1981) is an Uzbek cyclist.

Career

In 2003, he was road cycling champions of the U23 class. He won the race at the same time before the Belgian Johan Vansummeren and the favorite Thomas Dekker. For the following year he was given a professional contract with Landbouwkrediet - Colnago. Except for the double victory at the Uzbek championship he succeeded nothing worth mentioning. In 2004 he took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Athens for Uzbekistan. He was, among other sixth in the Tour of Denmark and Tenth of the UCI Asia Tour 2005. Since 2006 he is traveling at the U.S. cycling team Navigators Insurance. At the end of the season he moved to the newly founded Bissell Pro Cycling Team since 2008, he travels for Cycle Collstrop.

2012 started Lagutin at the Olympic Games in London and finished in the road race in fifth place.
