Sergio Marchionne

Sergio Marchionne ( born June 17, 1952 in Chieti, Italy) is an Italian- Canadian manager.

Life

At the age of 14 years Marchionne emigrated with his family to Toronto, Canada. There, he studied philosophy at the University of Toronto, Business Administration at the University of Windsor and law at Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Toronto. Marchionne is a lawyer and accountant. His professional career began in 1983 as an auditor and tax specialist for at the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche in Canada. In the following years, took over Sergio Marchionne various management positions at the packaging company Lawson Mardon Group, at Glenex Industries and at Acklands Ltd.. In 1992 he returned to Lawson Mardon Group and was Chief Financial Officer.
