Serhiy Hayduk

Serhiy Anatolijowytsch Hajduk, (Ukrainian Сергій Анатолійович Гайдук ) is a Ukrainian rear admiral and commander of the Ukrainian Navy.

Hajduk was promoted on 5 December 2011 as Rear Admiral. He was appointed on 2 March 2014 commander after his predecessor Denys Beresowskyj had defected after only one day of office on March 2, 2014, pro-Russian regional government of the Crimea. 2003 Hajduk was his for " exemplary performance of duty " awarded the medal for military service in Ukraine.

On March 3, 2014 Denys Beresowskyj met with Russian military to high-ranking officers of the Ukrainian Navy, to move them under the promise of a high remuneration for the service of the Russian armed forces. After a speech by Serhiy Hajduk all admirals refused and agreed to the Ukrainian anthem.

For multiple actions of pro- Russian security forces of international law unrecognized republic of Crimea, the task of three military bases of the Ukrainian armed forces could be enforced. In addition to the bases in Bakhchisaray and Nowooserne including the Marine headquarters in Sevastopol was taken. Some Ukrainian soldiers are already overflowed.
