Serik Konakbayev

Serik Kerimbekowitsch Konakbajew ( born October 25, 1959 in Pavlodar ) is a former Soviet Kazakh boxer descent. He was vice-champion in 1982 at welterweight, winner of the silver medal in the light welterweight at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow and two-time European champion.

Career

Serik Konakbajew grew up in Kazakhstan. He grew to become an excellent boxer who was inducted into the Soviet national team of boxers in 1978. His first international use in this national team, he graduated in February 1979 in Lafayette, United States on the occasion of a country USA struggle against the Soviet Union.
