Seth Meyers

Seth Adam Meyers ( born December 28, 1973 in Evanston, Illinois) is an American actor, voice actor, producer and comedian. He was head writer for Saturday Night Live, where he appeared from 2001 to 2014. 2013 it was announced that Jimmy Fallon will replace Meyers as the host of the show Late Night.

Private

Meyers was born on December 28, 1973, the son of a French teacher Hilary Claire ( born Olson) and born Laurence Meyers Jr.. Meyers has its roots Related Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden and England. He grew up in Manchester (New Hampshire) and graduated from Manchester High School West. He then studied at Northwestern University in Evanston, where he joined the Phi Gamma Delta connection.

Meyer's younger brother Josh Meyers is also active as an actor.

In July 2013, Meyers and his longtime girlfriend Alexi Ashe became engaged. On September 1, 2013, the two married.

Career

Before joining SNL ( Saturday Night Live ), Meyers began his comedy career as part of the improvisational group Mee - Ow at Northwestern University. After that, he was part of the improvisational group Boom Chicago, which has its headquarters in Amsterdam. His brother was part of that group.

His breakthrough, however, experienced Meyers on Saturday Night Live. From 2001 to 2014 he was part of the ensemble, in 2005, he was writing supervisor. He said 2004 for the role of the co- presenters at the Weekend Update skits before, but it took him before Amy Poehler. As a presenter Tina Fey left the ensemble, Meyers 2006 was not only head- writer, but also the moderator of the Sketches. Poehler left the ensemble and later also from 2008 to 2013 was the sole moderator of the Meyers Weekend Update skits. From 2013 he was with Cecily Strong, a new co-host. From February 2014 he was replaced by Colin Jost.
