Amy Poehler
Amy Meredith Poehler [ poʊlɚ ] ( born September 16, 1971 in Burlington, Massachusetts ) is an American actress, film producer, writer and comedienne.
Life and career
Poehler studied at Boston College, where she was a member of the comedy group My Mother 's Flea Bag. In 1993, she moved to Chicago, where she performed together with the group The Second City. She made her debut in a speaking role in the television comedy Escape from It's a Wonderful Life (1996 ), for which she also co-wrote the screenplay. In the comedy Rent a Man - The man for the second (1999) she starred alongside Rob Schneider.
From 2001 to 2008 Poehler starred in the comedy show Saturday Night Live, for which she was nominated for the 2006 Prism Award. She was nominated for her life's work as a comedian for the Teen Choice Award One year earlier. In the comedy Baby Mama ( 2008), she took next to Tina Fey one of the main roles. 2009 the series Parks and Recreation, in the Poehler plays the main role. For her performance on Saturday Night Live, she won an Emmy nomination in the same year. 2014 she received a Golden Globe Award for your role in Parks and Recreation.
Poehler is married to fellow actor Will Arnett since 2003. The couple has two sons. In September 2012, the couple announced their separation.
