Sharon Lynn
Sharon Lynn, Sharon Lynne, a native D' Auvergne Sharon Lindsay, (* April 9, 1901 or 1908 in Weatherford, Texas, † May 26, 1963 in Hollywood, California ) was an American actress.
Life
Sharon Lynn had participated in test shots, she had won as part of an organized by a newspaper beauty contest. In 1924 she was awarded - under the name Lindsay La Verne - in the movie curlytop a first small role. Already in City of Shadows ( 1927) she was cast as the lead actress. There were other main roles in fliers in flames and in the Tom Mix Western The son of the Golden West, but the big breakthrough was denied her. From the 1930s, Lynn played almost exclusively supporting roles. 1932 Bing Crosby was her partner in The Big Broadcast and 1935 could see them twice a honeymoon on the side of Cary Grant in the comedy. In Germany Lynn was primarily as unscrupulous legacy hunter Lola Marcel in the Laurel and Hardy comedy Two rode to Texas (1937 ) is known. It was her penultimate role, just one year later she finished with Thistledown her film career. Overall, they had turned 33 films.
Sharon Lynn died in 1963 from the effects of multiple sclerosis. She was married in first marriage with screenwriter Benjamin Glazer. Later she married the businessman John R. Sershen.
