Sharron Levy

Sharron Levy ( born November 17, 1977 in Haifa) is an Israeli pop singer who became famous in the talent show The Voice of Germany.

Biography

Growing up is Sharron Levy in Tel Aviv and London. She studied music production and was from 2005, singer of the band Captive audio from Newcastle. When she successfully published a few cover songs on YouTube, it became a solo career. By 2010 she was living in London, then moved to Salzburg and entered in the German-speaking world as a musician.

In 2011, Levy participated in the new talent show format The Voice of Germany. It was brought by Coach Nena in their group. Her interpretation of the current top hits Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye was so successful that it came a week after the broadcast by download sales up to # 26 in the German charts. So you achieved the second best result of all show participants on the space 25 by Benny Fiedler after the first round of Live and in Austria and Switzerland, even the best score of all participants. In none of the live shows she could win the public voting and each time was further brought by Coach Nena one round. In the semifinals, Nena behaved then neutral and left the decision solely to viewers. These selected Kim Sanders and Sharron Levy further difference.

For over a year she then spent to create her debut album Rough Ready. It was supported by bassist Derek van Krogh, who also produced the album, guitarist John Andrews and drummer Philipp Palm, all three members of the band Nena. As release date of September 13, 2013 was announced. The musicians had been working together with various artists and belong to the band Nena.
