Shelley Duvall

Shelley Duvall (* July 7, 1949 in Houston, Texas) is an American film and television actress.

Career

Shelley Duvall began her career in the 1970s as an actress in films directed by Robert Altman. After that, she had roles in movies by Woody Allen, Stanley Kubrick, Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton.

In Germany Duvall has become known in the Stanley Kubrick film The Shining (1980 ) particularly in the role of Wendy. The early 1980s, Duvall began to produce television programs for children, mostly fairy tales in which they also starred himself. Even today they still occurs sporadically on in film or television roles. One of her greatest achievements was the part of Mildred " Millie " Lammoreaux in Robert Altman Drama Three Women (1977 ), for which she at the Film Festival of Cannes 1977 won the Best Actor Award and was also chosen as Best Actress by the Los Angeles Film Critics.
