Sherrill is a city in Oneida County, New York in the United States. 2010, the City of Sherrill 3071 inhabitants, making it the smallest city by population in the state of New York. Sherrill is often referred to as The Silver City.
History
Sherrill was founded in 1916 by a special Act of the Government of the State. The City is unique among the Citys in New York because the statutes in many ways like a Village Sherrill treated, and the management of the Town of Vernon has retained jurisdiction over the territory of the City. All other citys in New York are completely independent of Town administrations.
Geography
Sherill is located at the western end of the Town of Vernon on the New York State Route 5 Sherrills geographical coordinates are 43 ° 4 ' N, 75 ° 36' W43.070808 - 75.599124.
