Sheryl Swoopes

Sheryl Denise Swoopes ( born March 25, 1971 in Brownfield, Texas, United States) is a professional basketball player. She currently plays for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association.

Career

She won the U.S. women's basketball team three times Olympic gold medal, and further three times the award MVP of the WNBA. She was awarded the Sportsman of the Year Award from the Associated Press in 1993.

Swoopes is the first women in basketball, after a sports shoe sporting goods manufacturer Nike is named: "Air Swoopes ".

Swoopes lives openly homosexual.
