Shiira

Shiira (of japシイラ, ​​[ ɕi ɺa ː ], dt " common dolphinfish ," Coryphaena hippurus ) is a web browser for Mac OS X. It is based on Cocoa and sets for displaying web pages on Apple's WebKit, which is based on KHTML. Web sites are thereby displayed the same as in Apple's Safari. In contrast to the source code of Safari Shiira is released under the BSD license and thus free software.

In August 2006, a first beta version of Shiira 2.0 for Mac OS X 10.4., In April of the following year appeared with Shiira 2.0 has a completely revised version of the browser.

A sub-project of Shiira Shiira mini is the browser, a Dashboard widget that is designed to facilitate quick access to websites. Shiira mini is unchanged since March 2006, available in version 1.3.
