Shon Seung-mo

Shon Seung -mo (Korean 손승모; born July 1, 1980) is a South Korean badminton players.

Career

Shon played at the 2004 Olympics in the men's singles, and struck in the first two rounds Viitikko Antti from Finland and Richard Vaughan from the UK. In the quarterfinals, defeating Shon Chen Hong from the People's Republic of China with 10:15, 15:4, 15:10. Shon came into the semi-finals, where he beat Sony Dwi Kuncoro from Indonesia with 15:6, 9:15, 15:9. In the match for the gold medal he lost to Taufik Hidayat with the Indonesians 15:8, 15:7, and received the silver medal.

Shon is partially blind after he was hit in his youth by a shuttlecock in the eye.
