Shuanghu County

Shuanghu is a circle of the district of Nagqu in the northeast of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People 's Republic of China. Chinese or Tibetan Shuanghu Tshonyi means " two lakes ". The county has about 8,000 inhabitants. In November 2012, the former Special District (特别 区) Shuanghu was converted into a circle.

Geography and climate

Shuanghu has an area of ​​116,637 km ² and is on average at 4800 m altitude. The highest mountain is the Zaqungngomar with 6304 m. There are numerous lakes, including the Dogaicoring Qangco with an area of 256 km ² to 4788 m altitude and the Yaggain Co at 4978 m altitude.
