Side by Side (2012 film)

Side by Side is a documentary directed by Christopher Kenneally with many famous filmmakers for the digital development in the movie business. It was produced by Keanu Reeves and Justin Szlasa. Premiere had the documentation at the 62nd International Film Festival 2012 in Berlin.

Summary

The documentary deals with the question of what changes arise in filmmaking by digital technology. It shows what artists and filmmakers can achieve both by means of photographic film, as well as with digital film technology and in what new directions have changed the film design needs and innovations and can change. Keanu Reeves conducts interviews with directors, cinematographers, colorists, scientists, engineers and artists and they will talk about their experiences of working with photographic film and digital film.

In German-speaking countries so far exists only an abridged version of this documentation under the title " Cinema Reloaded " which the sender Servus TV had its television premiere in late 2012.
