Siebenhengste-Hohgant-Höhle

The Seven -Hohgant Cave is a large karst cave system in the Canton of Bern in Switzerland.

The cave system is located on the territory of the municipalities Eriz, Beatenberg and Habkern in the Bernese Oberland. It is in the same karst area north of Interlaken. The cave system consists of several contiguous caves ( thumb hole, A2, F1, K2) and is named after the Hoelloch in Muotatal the second longest cave in Switzerland. The measured length of the seven -Hohgant cave is over 156 km ( 2009). The vertical extent of 1340 m.

Current Research

Interested in purchasing the cavers connect to the deeper bear pit. Succeed in this, the cave system would increase by one stroke by 62 miles and would be the longest cave in Switzerland and even Europe.
