Siegfried Grabner

Siegfried " Sigi " Grabner ( born February 4, 1975 in Saureggen, Carinthia ) is an Austrian professional snowboarder. He became world and European champion and won at the Olympic Games in Turin in 2006 the bronze medal in the parallel giant slalom.

Life

The childhood home of Sigi Grabner is the high Sinner.

With the title win the Junior World Championships 1994 in Slovenia Grabner decided to pursue his sport professionally. The title at the European Championships in Finland in 1995 opened the doors to the Burton - alpine team. In his best discipline, the parallel slalom he won the world title in 2005 in Whistler Mountain, the bronze medal at the 2003 World Cup on home Kreischberg.

In summer 2003, Grabner wrote a book entitled " boarder between the worlds ". Another project was the development of our own snowboards. Since the fall of the SG Snowboards by Sigi Grabner can be purchased in three versions. The Olympic bronze medal in Turin he won on his Torino - race board.

Grabner lives in La Massana in the small country of Andorra.
