Sieroty

Sieroty ( German rail Roth) is an Upper Silesian village in the municipality Wielowieś, powiat Gliwice in Silesian Voivodeship in Poland. Sieroty has 480 inhabitants. Sieroty forms a mayor's office. The village mayor, Jan Berda.

History

Differences Roth was first mentioned on June 17, 1299. The place name derives from a personal name. The place belonged to the rule Langendorf of Baron de Senegas Durant.

From 1936 to 1945, the city bore the official name Schönrode.

In 1945 Schönrode under Polish administration. From 1975 to 1998 Sieroty lay in the newly designed Voivodeship Katowice. In 1999, Sieroty the new Silesian Voivodeship and in the revived powiat Gliwice.
