Sierra Maestra (Band)

Sierra Maestra is a Cuban band founded in 1976 that strives to revive the classic Son of the 1920s. The band was named after the mountain range Sierra Maestra in eastern Cuba, from which the Son originated and is still active.

Known members of the band were Juan de Marcos González ( before he joined All Stars and Buena Vista Social Club to Afro - Cuban ) and Jesús Alemañy, the ¡ Cubanismo! founded.
