Simon Mackay, Baron Tanlaw

Simon Brooke Mackay, Baron Tanlaw of Tanlawhill in the County of Dumfries ( born March 30, 1934) is a British entrepreneur and politician of the defunct Liberal Party in 1988 and since 1971 a member of the House of Lords, where he there now to the non-Party members ( Crossbenchers ) belongs.

Life

Mackay, third son of Kenneth Mackay, 2nd Earl of Inchcape, was a grandson of Charles Vyner Brooke, who was 1917-1946 third and final White Raja of Sarawak in Malaysia today. After 1952-1954 as a second lieutenant in the XII. Royal Lancer served in the Federation of Malaya, he settled in the late 1950s Britain.
