Simon Narcisse Bozanga

Simon Narcisse Bozanga ( born December 26, 1942 in Bangassou ) in 1981 was Prime Minister of the Central African Republic.

Political career

Bozanga spent part of his school years in Rouen and studied law in Nancy and Paris. Later he worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central African Republic and represented his country from 1978 to 1979 as ambassador to Gabon. Subsequently, he was from 1980 to 1981 Minister of Justice.

After his confirmation in the presidential elections in March 1981, the throne in a coup on September 26, 1979 President David Dacko appointed him on 4 April 1981 as a successor to Jean -Pierre Lebouder prime minister. He had the previous Government consulted as Minister of Justice. Like his predecessor, he was one of Dackos in March 1980, was established party Union Démocratique Centrafricaine (UDC ). During his short tenure, the government was faced with strikes and unrest. On July 26, the state of emergency was imposed. His term ended on September 1, 1981, when Dacko was overthrown in a coup led by André Kolingba. The Office of the Prime Minister was occupied again until March 1991.

Since the 1990s, he joined the Supreme Court, first as President of a Chamber of the Court, and later as a consultant.
