Simon Sinas

Simon Georg Freiherr von Sina (* October 15, 1810 in Vienna, † April 15, 1876 ibid ) was the son of the entrepreneur Georg Simon Baron Sina and studied philosophy and astronomy.

A large part of the assets of the family, he donated for the construction of educational facilities, so the new building of the University of Vienna ( posthumously started ) and the Academy of Budapest, as well as the founding of the Academy of Athens and the Athens Observatory.
