Skull Fist

Skull Fist (English, skull fist " ) is a Canadian heavy and speed metal band from Toronto.

History

The band was founded in 2006 and quickly released a first demo recording with two songs, which was sold at concerts of the band. In the occupation of Jackie Slaughter, Sir Shred and Alison Thunderland Skull Fist took in 2010 on the debut EP Heavier Than Metal, which was re-released due to good sales of the band and various underground labels several times on CD, MC and record. With this recording, the band won in December 2010, the Rock The Nation Award, which helped her to a recording contract with the label NoiseArt Records. The bumped in the meantime the band bassist Johnny Exciter left this after several concerts in Europe in January 2011. With new bassist Casey Slade, the band went in April 2011 along with Enforcer and Bullet on a European tour. While Sir Shred left the band immediately after this, Alison Thunderland played an even the drum tracks for the first album Head öf the Pack, which was released on 26 August 2011 at NoiseArt Records, before they, too, turned his back on the band. It was replaced on drums by Jake, also joined Johnny Exciter - now under the name Jonny Nesta and as a guitarist - the band again at. Skull Fist was in September 2011 as the opening act of the band Sabaton, Grave Digger and Powerwolf in another European tour under the name Power of Metal on the go.

The former members of Caleb Beal, Teddy Turbo and Chris Keel all later played in the Canadian band Midnight Malice.

Style

The band plays heavy and speed metal in the style of the 1980s. There are parallels to bands in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal such as Angel Witch. Skull Fist coverte the song Attack, Attack of the British metal band Tokyo Blade on Head öf the Pack. Influencing Jackie Slaughter called artists of different genres such as Kreator Astral Doors, Pink Floyd and Johann Sebastian Bach.
