Slade School of Fine Art

The Slade School of Fine Art, London (England) is the art school of University College London. The Slade School in Gower Street in the Bloomsbury district, not only among the most important British art schools, but is also internationally recognized as a leading training center for artists recognized.

History

The school was founded in 1871 with funds from the wealthy British lawyer and art collector Felix Slade and decisively influenced by the first Professor Edward Poynter. Poynter brought a French system of art education.
