SÅ‚awomir Nitras

Sławomir Witold Nitra (born 26 April 1973 in Połczyn -Zdrój ) is a Polish politician, Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Life

Sławomir Nitra visited a middle school in Koszalin. He studied at the University of Szczecin, and closed it with a diploma in politics. At this he joined a job as assistant to the University in the Department of Political Science and Philosophy. In 1996, he joined the Stronnictwo Konserwatywno - Ludowe ( Conservative). 1998 Nitra employee in the office of voivode of Koszalin Voivodeship. In 1998 he was elected to the Parliament of the newly formed West Pomeranian Voivodeship and remained there until 2002. At the same time, he worked from 1999 to 2002 for the French group Lafarge. He was there in Bialy Bór for Kruszywa Koszalin SA Head of Production and sale of Baufüllmaterial. In 2001, he joined the Platforma Obywatelska. After the birth of his youngest daughter, he founded his own company, which specialized in the supply of Baufüllmaterial and bitumen. The company had financial problems shortly after its founding and was closed in 2005. In the 2005 parliamentary elections Nitra was the first time gain a mandate for the Sejm with 14,238 votes. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007, he joined in the constituency 41 Szczecin again and was again able to win with 65 776 votes a seat in the Sejm. He worked there in the Commissions of the State Treasury and the economy. In the European elections in 2009 Sławomir Nitra went to and was able to win with 107 413 votes a mandate. This ended his membership in the Polish Sejm on 10 June 2009.

In the European Parliament he belongs to both the Group of the European People's Party ( Christian Democrats) and, inter alia, the Economic and Monetary Commission and the European Parliament delegation to the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee EU - Russia.

From 1991 to 1993 he was a member of the Union of Realpolitik and during the years 1996 to 2001 he was a member of the Conservative People's Party. Since 2001 he is a member of the Civic Platform ( Platforma Obywatelska ) and a member of the State Executive Committee, since 2003 he is chairman of the Civic Platform ( Platforma Obywatelska ) in Szczecin, and since 2006 he is the deputy chairman of the party in the region of Western Pomerania ( West Pomeranian ).

Sławomir Nitra is married and has two children.
