Slocum (crater)

12:33

Slocum is a small lunar impact crater on the eastern edge of the front page in the east of the level of Mare Smythii, northeast of the crater Warner and southeast of Runge. The crater is very flat, since the interior was flooded with lavas of Mare.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1976 after the American astronomer Frederick Slocum.
