U 2 was a German U- boat that was built for the Imperial Navy. It was ordered on March 4, 1906 at the Imperial shipyard Gdansk and placed under the command of Lieutenant Charles Beard Brook in service on 18 July 1908. U2 drove in the First World War not patrol, but was used as a training boat. After the capitulation of the German Empire, the boat was removed from the list of warships on February 19, 1919. In 1920 it was sold for scrap to the company Stinnes.
