Social Code

Social Code (formerly Fifth Season ) is a Canadian alternative rock band from St. Albert, Alberta.

History

Social Code was founded in 1999 by high school friends Travis Nesbitt (vocals) and Logan Jacobs (bass ) under the name Fifth Season. David Hesse ( guitar) and Andrew Patrick ( drums), the quartet made ​​complete.

The first album " Patiently Waiting" was released in 2001. After the release, the band decided to change the band name in social code because in Italy there was already a band called The Fifth Season.

2003 replaced Ben Shillabeer drummer Andrew Patrick. End of the same year, Social Code secured her first recording contract with Interscope Records and released their first album, " A Year at the Movies " in May 2004.

It was followed by a tour that occurred the band as an opener, among other things Rise Against, Fall Out Boy, Deftones and Good Charlotte. 2004 replaced Chris Ruddy guitarist David Hesse. This, however, remained only a year in the band. 2005 Social Code with Morgan Gies found their new guitarist.

In 2007, the band decided to produce their next album themselves. Social codes prior experience with the high profile producer Howard Benson ( The All- American Rejects, Hawthorne Heights, My Chemical Romance ) in Los Angeles gave the band the experience and the confidence to try it on your own. They built their own recording studio, where they were spending the next year to work on their second album, Social Code. This was published in May 2007 in Canada. The album was a success and the singles Bomb Hands, The Shortest Line, Everyday (Late November ) and He Said, She Said it were released. Social Code toured in connection with Sum 41 and Finger Eleven on the Strength within Numbers Tour.

On 3 April 2009 the band announced that it had completed a new album. This album was mixed by John Travis ( Kid Rock, Buckcherry ) produced in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Mike Fraser (AC / DC, Hinder, Aerosmith ). Preliminary, they released the single Satisfied on 28 July 2009 on iTunes. After a tour followed by Canada. In the same year, the band Steve Faulkner picked as second guitarist for support.
