The Soode is about 7.2 km long, orographic left-sided or southeasterly inflow of Lempe in the district of Kassel, North Hesse ( Germany ).
History and catchment area
The Soode springs on the southwestern edge of the Reinhard Forest, in the northern part of the urban area of Immenhausen, directly west of the residential area Mariendorfer Ahlberg. Your source is located on the west flank of Ahlbergs ( 394.6 m above sea level. NHN ) to about 342 m altitude.
Initially, flows the Soode that runs predominantly north-north- west, respectively, along the western edge of Reinhardswald and Gutsbezirk Reinhard Forest, forming the natural boundary of this unincorporated area to the cities Immenhausen, Grebestein ( with the slightly southwest of Soode village Udenhausen ) and Hofgeismar.
